Objective:
To intervene in cases of severe malnutrition which affect the poorest children seriously debilitated due to hunger and to the lack of nutrients.
Why?
Malnutrition is one of our main daily enemies.
90% of the children that we meet looks smaller than their real age: indeed one meal a day based on rice is not enough to guarantee the correct mental and physical development of a growing child. In the areas where we operate one child out of two is affected by malnutrition, and the remaining 70% of the others still show the signs of past malnutrition.
