Food safety and economic impact

Certified studies, carried out in the field, on Interlife Onlus projects which have adopted the  Interlife Toolkit methodology, have shown that the Interlife Toolkit model has a significant impact on the food and economic security of beneficiaries.

Significantly positive results have been recorded in terms of:

  • the immediate and greater availability of agricultural produce, increase of local productivity

  • increase of agro-pastoral production which in only one year becomes sufficient to cover the family’s food requirements.

  • 90% of beneficiaries who start-up a Toolkit have the opportunity of integrating the family’s diet, not only with the products of their Toolkit activity but also with the purchase of other  foodstuffs

  • for 84% an increase from only one meal to 3 meals per day is recorded

  • + 70% of family income in the first year of Toolkit activity

Value

The Interlife Toolkit is a tool which creates economic and social value for beneficiaries, for the project and for communities. Such a value is measurable and can be monetised. Specifically, thanks to the Multiplier effect and to the Leverage effect typical of the Interlife Toolkit, it is possible to optimise project resources and to actually double the received grant.
