Institutional impact

All Interlife’s projects aim to achieve a sustainable and lasting change in the project areas, whereby the beneficiaries, civil society and institutions unite, with commitment and responsibly, in a process of growth and well-being for the entire community.

Institutions

In the territories in which it operates, Interlife forges a close dialogue with local institutions at every level to ensure greater effectiveness of its interventions, signs detailed agreements with village and municipality authorities, Prefects, public administrations and Regional Councils which approve and support Interlife’s humanitarian actions.

In order to give continuity to its projects, Interlife actively involves local Ministry offices, public training and health care institutions, so as to facilitate access to services and to ensure that beneficiaries receive a formal acknowledgement of their rights and of the acquired skills.

Community organizations

Moreover, lnterlife works with grassroots community organisations and with informal community groups, such as local Self-Help-Groups, to make sure that they collaborate and to step up joint efforts at community level on key issues, like the protection of minors and food security.

Beneficiaries

In addition, Interlife expressly works to achieve the capacity building of local stakeholders, in particular groups of beneficiaries, facilitating where required the formation of formal groups and cooperatives to ensure that beneficiaries are duly acknowledged and have the necessary  bargaining power to dialogue with institutions, suppliers, traders or large distributors, supporting their ability to play an active and effective role in contributing to societal change and developing new tools to build an real dialogue with the authorities and all the stakeholders.
