Who is Prosolidar Foundation
FONDAZIONE PROSOLIDAR ENTITY PHILANTROPICO ETS is an organization established within the credit sector for the implementation, in Italy and abroad, of solidarity and socially relevant projects, promoting social justice, inclusion and sustainable development.
It includes, on an equal footing, all the trade union organizations of the workers of the same sector (through their National Secretariats) as well as, on the employer side, the Italian Banking Association and all the companies that adhere to the Association. It is the first and, at present, the only experience, even at an international level, of an entity desired by the parties in a national collective labor agreement and financed through "match-gifting", that is, the sharing of the contribution in equal measure between workers and companies.

Integrated food self-sufficiency solutions for children at risk of malnutrition and the most vulnerable families in Tamil Nadu
The project, supported by the Prosolidar Foundation and implemented by Interlife ETS , aims to improve the quality of life of children at risk of malnutrition and the most vulnerable families in the Tamil Nadu region of India .
The initiative focuses on 55 villages in Pudukottai and Dindigul districts, with the aim of ensuring food security and fostering community resilience through integrated and sustainable solutions.
Thanks to the Interlife Toolkit model , the project promotes a local production system that favors the food and economic self-sufficiency of the most marginalized communities, offering them concrete tools to address malnutrition, poverty and school dropout.

Food security and economic sustainability:
Ensure access to nutritious and sufficient food for the poorest children and their families belonging to the untouchable caste, reducing the risks of malnutrition and economic insecurity.
Health and Nutrition Care:
Provision of medical screening and specific nutritional treatments for children at risk of malnutrition.
Community Development and Resilience:
Strengthen the local socioeconomic fabric through training and the launch of productive activities that enhance the local resources.

Thanks to the valuable contribution of the Prosolidar Foundation, the project achieved the following key activities:
Nutritional and health care assistance for 60 children at risk of malnutrition, 24 of whom were supported directly by the Foundation.
Medical checkups and health screenings for 600 pregnant and breastfeeding women to prevent malnutrition and anemia, with another 200 coming soon.
Distribution of 120 Interlife Toolkits: 42 first-generation Toolkits funded directly by the Prosolidar Foundation, which will soon be distributed to an additional 42 beneficiaries, reaching 84 women and their families to support the launch of sustainable production activities for disadvantaged families. The Toolkit model allows for the replication of these initiatives, reaching a total of 120 families and approximately 600 beneficiaries.

The results

Reducing malnutrition: Thanks to early diagnosis and therapeutic interventions, 60 at-risk children received timely treatment, which improved their life expectancy and reduced healthcare costs. They are now growing up healthy with a strengthened immune system.
Economic and social growth: The Interlife Toolkit model has stimulated local entrepreneurship, improving social cohesion and creating a multiplier effect for invested resources, with a positive impact on the environment thanks to agroforestry approaches.
Community involvement: Local institutions and self-help groups were actively involved, ensuring continuity and sustainability of the actions undertaken.
