This means that every bicycle donated up to December 31, 2024 has been transformed into two bicycles , allowing us to help even more girls reach school safely and build a better future.

Distribution has begun
500 bikes
In May 2025, thanks to the doubling of Fondazione Mediolanum, the distribution of bicycles began.
Thanks to this precious contribution, even more girls have the opportunity to reach school safely and embark on a path of freedom and emancipation.
Thanks to Fondazione Mediolanum we are guaranteeing:
Greater safety on the home-school journey and reduction of dangers along the route.
Greater protection from harassment and violence .
Increase in the number of girls completing high school .
Reduction in early marriages through continued education.
Increased community awareness of girls' right to education and safety .
THE PROJECT
A Bike for School
For hundreds of girls in rural villages in Tamil Nadu, India, going to school is a daily challenge. Walking for miles, often facing risks such as violence and kidnapping, leads many of them to abandon their studies and lose any opportunity for a better future.
Our project "A bike for school" aims to change all this by donating bicycles to the poorest and most vulnerable girls, allowing them to:
Getting to school safely and away from danger
Attend classes regularly , improving their academic performance.
Continue their studies up to secondary school , thus escaping the risk of early marriage and exploitation.

But not only that: the project monitors the risk of dropping out of school for hundreds of other children in the community, trains girls and communities on bicycle maintenance , promotes awareness campaigns on children's rights and protection and, if necessary, involves families in the Interlife Toolkit program , creating a lasting and sustainable impact.
